“Celebrating a Green Christmas” Ho!Ho! Ho! will be the theme of our Terra Madre day celebrations on Thursday 10 December at the Pinelands Community Hall, St Stephens Rd off Forest Drive Pinelands from 12 noon to 9pm.
The MENNGOS Organic Food programme are looking for growers of organic fruit and vegetables, fresh farm eggs, olive oil,olives,organic honey,handmade christmas edibles that have christmas packaging, christmas cakes, big and small, pancake makers, a filter coffee stand, clothing made in pure cotton or organic material for children and adults, worm tea and vermicompost, fynbos growers, cut flowers,herbs, handmade confectionery, toffee apples, tameletjies ect. Stalls are R120 per stall with 2 chairs. Stallholders are requested to have a hessian tablecloth supporting Terra Madre Day which is been celebrated in 150 countries in support of locally grown produce and handmade traditional foods lessening our foodmiles and lowering our carbon footprint. To ensure that it is celebratory we are calling on muscians,children and adult entertainers to join us on this day and showcase their special talents!
