The Slow Food Community Market is preparing to take off this Sat 7 Nov at Lansdowne Methodist Church from 10am to 3pm. On sale will be organic vegetable produce and products.There are lots of wonderfull food, craft, jewellry, delectable cakes, boerewors rolls and chips, curry and roti, vegetarian food and snacks! As you walk in Leticia’s wonderful aroma of freshly made filter coffee & koeksisters by Kim will entice you to her table of handknitted summer items, Perveen’s jewellry will try to break your piggy bank and corrupt your children with her confectionery edibles, Annette and Denise enjoys wowing the regulars and visitors with their vegetable pickles and pesto’s. On sale will be craft, Miri’s cheese and Gwen’s delectable homebaked wholewheat and white bread. Gwen is a young 81 year old still baking and crafting. On sale will be roti and curry, an array of vegetarian food and snacks both savoury and sweet! Come and join us at the Community table and learn about our upcoming special event called The Terra Madre happening on the 10 Dec at the Pinelands Community hall from 12 noon to 9pm!
